In October, Marigold libraries are encouraged to participate in Celebrate Your Library Month in combination with Library Card Sign-Up Month. People love their library and they love having a chance to express that appreciation!
Promoting Celebrate Your Library Month and Library Card Sign-Up Month is a way to increase awareness and build connections to your library and its role in the community. If your plan of service has a goal to increase the number of cardholders, these initiatives would be fun ways to achieve your goal!
As you likely know, the Government of Alberta has announced the province’s relaunch strategy, Opening Soon.
As part of that strategy, the Government of Alberta is beginning to carefully and gradually lift restrictions imposed as part of the COVID-19 response. Stage One of the relaunch began Thursday, May 14th. Public libraries remain closed to the public right now and should continue to offer virtual services during this time.
