As you likely know, the Government of Alberta has announced the province’s relaunch strategy, Opening Soon.
As part of that strategy, the Government of Alberta is beginning to carefully and gradually lift restrictions imposed as part of the COVID-19 response. Stage One of the relaunch began Thursday, May 14th. Public libraries remain closed to the public right now and should continue to offer virtual services during this time.
Saturday, April 18 was a banner day for Marigold. 39 Marigold Trustees participated in our Board meeting, which was a record turnout for Trustees (39 out of 44)! Marigold is pleased that everything worked so smoothly with our first Board Zoom conference. Now we have another reliable option to conduct future meetings. All the motions in the accompanying survey passed.
We were more than excited to see the funding announcement from Dr. Diana Davidson, PLSB Director. This was about the distribution of 50% of the provincial library operating grants that are coming soon.
Information including connection details and agenda items will be distributed by email to Marigold Board members. If you have an affiliation with Marigold Library System and would like to attend the meeting, please contact Marigold Library System before April 16 at email@example.com. Please include your contact information including name, address, phone number, email address, and name of member municipality.
Please note: Board members or their alternates who are officially appointed by participating councils conduct the business of the Board. The Chair may recognize guests/observers and invite them to participate in the discussion; however, they have no voting privileges. Their comments are for information only.
