Travelling Displays

Marigold provides curated collections for travelling displays that your library may borrow. All of the titles made available with the display are immediately available for your patrons to borrow.

How Does it Work?

1. Book a display by contacting:

Barb Froese, Library Services Assistant
403.934.5334 / 1.855.934.5334 (toll free)
ext. 241
barb@marigold.ab.ca

2. Your library will receive the display kit in your van delivery. The kit includes:

  • A selection of titles
  • Wire display rack
  • Promotional posters
  • Promotional materials (brochures and/or bookmarks)

3. Set the display up in your library. Add related books from your own collection. Advertise the display in library communications. Check out titles to patrons and keep the display rack as full as possible.

4. Return the display materials to Marigold on or before the due date.

No hassle returns!

If a patron returns a title after you have already returned the display, don't worry! Simply return the book to Marigold in your next van run.

Read Alberta Books Travelling Display

This display was developed in partnership with the Writers’ Guild of Alberta and the Book Publishers Association of Alberta.

The Writers’ Guild of Alberta (WGA) was formed in 1980 to provide a meeting ground and collective voice for all the writers of the province. The WGA helps give Alberta writers a sense of unity and community and is the largest provincial writers’ organization in Canada.

The Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) is a provincial association of book publishing companies and is one of the strongest communities of regional publishers in North America. Today the BPAA has more than 30 members, many of which are owned and operated in the province of Alberta.

Each year, Alberta authors and publishers are recognized through the WGA's Alberta Literary Awards, the BPAA's Alberta Book Publishing Awards, and the Alberta Readers' Choice Award. Join Marigold, the Writers' Guild of Alberta, and the Book Publishers Association of Alberta as we recognize these amazing Alberta-bred books!

This travelling display is updated each year with new award winners.

YRCA Travelling Display

YRCA stands for Young Reader's Choice Award. There are three divisions within the award: Junior (grades 4 - 6), Intermediate (grades 7 - 9), and Senior (grades 10 - 12).

This travelling display was created to highlight YRCA nominated books and get kids reading and voting for their favourite titles.
