Season's Greetings from Marigold

Dec. 07, 2020 Michelle Toombs

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season. We have all experienced an extraordinary year with the COVID pandemic, so as 2020 draws to a close, we all hope for an easier time in 2021. This is a good time to reflect on the good things in our lives: that we live in a safe country; that there are many good neighbours who look after us in our hospitals and clinics; that there are more good neighbours who work in grocery stores and libraries, and provide other needed services; and that libraries exist for everyone. Marigold Library System with its member libraries and services (e.g., lockers, books by mail), and especially with its online presence, have provided needed and well-used resources for the 320,000 people who live in municipalities within Marigold’s boundaries. These resources supported learners of all ages as well as people seeking affordable recreation and reliable information. Marigold’s online programs and activities inspired readers while promoting literacy and creativity. We have much to be thankful for, and everyone at Marigold Library System thanks you for your support of libraries, and especially for supporting the special public library in your community. Please be careful and stay safe during this Christmas season. We’ll get through this together.

Marigold Library System

From everyone at Marigold, we send the warmest wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. 2020 has been an exceptional year. With so many people adjusting to lifestyle changes, we are thankful to see that public libraries throughout Marigold are so appreciated by people in their communities. We sincerely hope that you and your families and colleagues stay safe and well. May the Christmas season end the present year on a cheerful note.
