Library to You (L2U) is a free mail service offered to patrons who face physical and geographic barriers to reaching their local library. Marigold has been providing L2U service since 1981. This is a valuable component of library service and we are pleased to collaborate with our partners, Shortgrass Library System and Chinook Arch Regional Library System, to extend the service to other areas.
How to Register:
If your municipality is part of Marigold, you can call 1-855-934-5334, ext. 230 to register; email Direct Services Clerk, Nancy Smith; or print the registration form and mail it to Marigold Library System. Each family member will be issued their own card.
L2U offers you:
Discover the power of your library card!
Once you are registered, your library card is mailed to you, along with a catalogue and a request card. Your library card also gives you access to:
eResources, such as downloadable eBooks, music, television shows, movies, and more.
Holding or renewing material in TRACpac, Marigold’s online catalogue, using your library barcode number and PIN.
Alberta-wide Borrowing: use your card at participating libraries across Alberta by registering at https://melibraries.ca/.
Note: Marigold partners with Shortgrass, and Chinook Arch for L2U service. If you live in these areas contact your System headquarters for information about registering for L2U. As a L2U patron from another library system, you are not eligible for enhanced library services, such as remote access to eResources, placing a hold, or renewing a borrowed item from the TRACpac catalogue through Marigold Library System. You may have access to these services through your own system or your local library.
